First Step team's 2025 Thanksgiving party and team building event

The First Step Team held its annual Thanksgiving party on November 29, 2025, to celebrate the many achievements of the past year and to spend a time of thoughtfulness and togetherness as the year came to a close.


The program was co-hosted by Chloe Lin and Angela Zhou, who first introduced the co-presidents and president-elect: Dennis Xu, Angela Zhou, and Brady Zhou, respectively. Following the given speeches by the leaders, the leadership team were then called to stage to present themselves and their roles as VPs: Dennis Xu as VP of First Step Fundraising & Entrepreneurship, Angela Zhou as VP of Team Building, and Brady Zhou as VP of Outreach, Chloe Lin as VP of External Fundraising, Mason Cao as Secretary, Sophie Zhou as VP of Food Banks, and Claire Ling as VP of Social Media and Treasurer. The alumni of First Step were then called to speak about their time as members of First Step, and Speaker Mr. Wei Lin gave a speech on why First Step matters, calling on the audience to recognize the importance of volunteering and leadership.



The White Elephant gift exchange game ended the night off after the potluck dinner with thankful messages from all the student participants to enact the spirit of Thanksgiving and the holiday season.
