In 2025, we hosted and organized a considerable amount of meetings-zoom and in person-for all age groups to practice and improve public speaking skills such as structure, clarity, content, communication, delivery, and pace. We used these meetings to prepare for the shine-a-light speech contest which served as a chance for us to showcase our growth, gain confidence, and inspire others with thoughtful, well-rehearsed presentations with further feedback from professionals. The results were largely successful with many people receiving prizes and superior placements compared to others. Since then we have continued to organize meetings to improve and strengthen our fundamentals and skill.
To strengthen our leadership and impact, we would like to attract more people to join and participate. Expanding our membership will create additional opportunities for guidance, mentorship, and practice in public speaking. We would also like to hold meetings every month for consistency and skill building reasons.
